Who We Are
With every project, we aim to create a ripple effect: improved education, healthier and motivated pupils, empowered communities, and a brighter future for all.
Our Story
At Canary Serve, we believe education is the foundation of a thriving community and a catalyst for lasting change. As a UK-based charity, our mission is to empower underprivileged communities in East Africa through education, water, sanitation, and community development.
We provide innovative solutions to create secure and nurturing learning environments, ensuring every child has the opportunity to unlock their full potential
Foundation History
Founded in 2000 by Neil and Ryan Winfield, Canary Serve began as a small UK-based initiative inspired by the passion and determination of Ugandan educators. Over the years, we’ve grown into a multi-country organization, partnering with local communities to address critical needs in education, sanitation, and health.
Our Flagship Project
Our flagship project, Kasangati High School in Uganda, exemplifies our impact-
student enrolment surged from 48 in 2017 to over 1,500 in 2019 following infrastructure development. Together, we’re building brighter futures, one school at a time.
